Creating a Macro in Messenger
Macros are the canned responses you can use for answering your leads in individual conversation threads (Please do not confuse them with Message templates you can use in campaigns).
To add a macro, follow these steps:
- Go to Messenger and click on Macros in the bottom-left corner of the screen
- Click Add New Macro
- Enter the name of the Macro. Keep in mind that it has a 25-character limit and must be unique.
- Enter the message. The message has a 320-character limit and must be at least 3 characters long. Note, if you create a message longer than 160 characters, it'll be sent in 2 SMS.
Pro Tip: You can use custom fields to integrate mapped data from your uploaded groups into your macros. Use '<' to populate field options, and then select the desired field from the drop-down list.
Note: <Address>, <City>, <State>, and <Zip> fields correspond to the ‘Property address,’ ‘Property City,’ ‘Property State,’ and ‘Property Zip’ headers mapped in your groups.
- Click Save Macro
To Edit a Macro, go to Macros in the bottom-left corner of the Messenger screen and click on the small ‘pencil’ icon to the right of the macro’s name
Edit the content and hit Save Macro to save the changed macro.
To Delete a Macro, go to Macros in the bottom-left corner of the Messenger screen and click on the small ‘trash can’ icon to the right of the macro’s name and confirm deleting by selecting Delete on the pop-up screen
