Downgrading Your Subscription

Need a lighter plan? You can downgrade to a Smarter Contact subscription with fewer features anytime — it only takes a couple of clicks from your Membership page. Here's how to switch, plus what happens to your billing and any unused time on your current plan.

Downgrade your plan

  1. Go to the Membership page.
  2. Click Update Plan.
  3. Select the plan you want to downgrade to.
  4. Click Contact Support to open a conversation to downgrade.

💡 Pro tip — Before you downgrade, double-check which features each plan includes — you don't want to drop something you rely on day to day.

What happens to your billing

Two things change the moment you switch:

  • Your billing cycle resets. It restarts from the day you downgrade.
  • Unused time becomes credit. Whatever time is left on your current plan is prorated and applied toward the cost of your new one — so you don't lose what you've already paid for.

How your credit is calculated

Your credit is the unused portion of your current plan:

(Full price of your current plan ÷ total days in the subscription period) × days left in the period

For example, say your current plan is $100 for a 30-day cycle and you switch with 9 days left:

($100 ÷ 30) × 9 = $30 credit applied to your new plan.
