Managing call scripts and custom fields in Power Dialer

Know Exactly What to Say When They Pick Up

Call scripts keep your conversations consistent, professional, and on track. When a contact picks up, the script you've assigned to the campaign appears on the left side of your dialer page — so your opening, value prop, and next steps are always right there.

You'll create and manage every script from the Call Scripts page, then assign one to each campaign at launch.

The Call Scripts Page

To open it, head to the Dialer tab and click Call Scripts. You'll see all your existing scripts listed with the script name and a content preview. From here, you can drag and drop to reorder, edit any script, or delete ones you no longer use.

Up to 25 scripts load at a time. Click Load more if you've got more — there's no maximum.

ⓘ Note: Scripts tied to an active dialer campaign can't be deleted until the campaign ends.

💡 Good to know: You don't need an active calling or messaging plan to manage scripts. Subscription only affects your ability to start dialer campaigns.

Creating a Call Script

  1. Click Add New Script.
  2. Give it a name. Avoid special characters like ? # @ % ^ * - ' , . — they'll trigger an error.
  3. Write your script in the text field below.
  4. Add custom fields where you want personalization (see next section).
  5. Click Save.

That's it — your script is live and ready to use.

Personalizing with Custom Fields

Custom fields pull live data from each contact's record during the call, so every script feels personal.

Click anywhere in your script body to insert one. You can choose from contact fields like:

  • <First_name>  Contact's first name
  • <Last_name>  Contact's last name
  • <Address>  Property address
  • <Phone>  Contact's phone number
  • Any custom field from your contact list

Just make sure your field names match the headers in your contact list exactly — otherwise, the data won't pull through. Always run a quick test before launching a full campaign.

Troubleshooting

Fields aren't populating

Check that field names in your script match your contact list headers exactly.

Script isn't saving

Make sure the script name doesn't include any restricted special characters.

Script isn't showing up in a campaign

Refresh the campaign creation page.
