# Smarter Contact 3.8 Web App Update
## Your Messenger Just Got a Whole Lot Smarter
This isn't a small update. We've rebuilt the way you find, filter, and work your contacts in Messenger — so instead of scrolling through your inbox looking for the right conversation, you slice straight to it. Here's everything that's new.
### New Filtering System
The old way of finding contacts was scattered. The new way isn't.
Every Messenger page now has a single, unified Filters panel where you can combine multiple parameters in one view — labels with include or exclude logic, response date, area code, campaigns, groups, favorites, closed deals, and more. Mix and match to fit your workflow and apply it across all your folders at once.
The Filters button shows a live count of everything you have active. Remove individual filters with a single click, or hit **Reset** to clear everything at once.
### Save the Filters You Use Every Day
Built a filter you like? Save it.
Saved filters live in the left-side menu, so applying one later is a single click. You can rename, edit, delete, and drag to reorder them so your most-used views sit right at the top.
Build it once. Use it forever.
### Quick Replies — Formerly Macros
Macros have a new name, a [new home](https://app.smartercontact.com/messenger/quick-replies), and a better experience. **Quick Replies** are the same time-saving snippets you know — now with the controls power users have been asking for.
- **Drag to reorder** — arrange your replies in the order you actually use them, and that order carries through into the picker inside conversations
- **Bulk actions** — select and delete multiple quick replies at once, with a confirmation step so nothing goes by accident
- **Refreshed picker** — dropping in a saved reply mid-conversation is faster and cleaner
Find it at **Messenger → Quick Replies.**
### Simpler Sorting
Click the **Date** column header to sort oldest-first. Click again for newest-first. That's it.
### Everything Stays Where You Left It
Your filters, sorting, and account view now persist across folders, navigation, and page refreshes. Come back to Messenger and it's exactly how you left it — until you close the tab.
New and incoming conversations also update in real time, including the Unread folder, so you're never working on a stale inbox.
### Live Contact Count
Every filter and saved view now shows exactly how many contacts it holds, right in the header. Always know the size of the audience you're about to work before you start.
